Apple Unveils iPhone5 and it can only get better!

iPhone 5Great things come in small packages and such is true with the just released iPhone 5. Packed with all the tech goodies and mind blowing features, it can only get better with ColcaSac’s signature naturally protective sleeves!

After much anticipation and finally confirming most of the rumors, Apple launched iPhone 5 and it didn’t disappoint. “iPhone 5 is the most beautiful consumer device that we’ve ever created… we think customers are going to love it.” said Apple’s senior VP of Worldwide Marketing, Philip Schiller.

The iPhone5 has brought highly advanced hardware starting off with an A6 processor,  larger Retina display, ultrafast wireless technology and increased battery life, in the thinnest and lightest iPhone body ever made. It is powered by iOS 6 plus over 200 features including an all new Maps app, Facebook integration, Passbook organization and a smarter Siri.

Compared to its predecessor, the iPhone 5 is 18% thinner and 20% lighter. The Retina display is the first thing that iPhone4 users will notice. With the 4-inch screen and a resolution of 1136 x 640 that yields a PPI of 326 – comfortably above the Retina threshold – the iPhone 5 will trump its competition. It is not only more energy efficient but is easier to read words in bright sunny outdoors and it offers a wider range of colors. This makes watching films and surfing the web a pleasure. Speaking of surfing, the iPhone 5 features 4G LTE connectivity with the capability to connect to the fastest wireless data networks with speeds up to 150 Mbps.

You get very clear crisp photos in all circumstances with the inbuilt 8 megapixel iSight camera sensor, 5-element lens and f/2.4 aperture. Complete with dynamic low light mode and precision lens alignment, image capture is 40% faster. Been wanting to shoot panoramic photos? You can with the iPhone 5! iSight can also record HD video clips in 1080p with video stabilization, face detection for up to ten faces, and the ability to take pictures while filming. The new FaceTime HD front facing camera records 720p HD video.

About the battery, the Apple says “Even at its accelerated speed, iPhone 5 has more than enough battery power to last throughout the day — up to 8 hours of browsing on a cellular connection, up to 8 hours of talk time, and up to 10 hours of video playback time.”

The iPhone4s took on all smartphone comers in late 2011 up to midst of 2012. Compared to the iPhone 4s, the iPhone5 has a lot to live up to but is more than capable of smashing the record of its predecessor. Apple says the device will be released on September 21 in the US while Pre-orders start Friday.
